Ball and Beam Control System

This project demonstrates a control system which balances a ball on a beam using a digital PID controller. An infrared sensor was used for position feedback but the raw signal was noisy so a moving average filter was used. A fun demonstration for students learning control system theory.

Automated Ping Pong Ball Launcher

This is an automated ping pong ball launcher ....to shoot ping pong balls. I machined all components out of aluminum using a milling machine.

Induction Heater

This is a basic induction heater circuit I built. I intend to scale it up so I can use it for forging tools.

Record Player

This an record player I built a few years ago. I built the amplifiers, wooden frame, 3D printed a few components, and sourced the rest of the components from scrap.

Pendulum Clock

This is this first clock I ever built, I designed it horizontally so people could see the inner workings of how clocks work. Every component was designed from scratch in CAD.

8-Bit Digital Computer (Turing Complete)

This is a 8-bit Turing complete computer I built. Lots of credit to Ben Eater on this one. I later modified the clock to run off of a pierce oscillator for robustness.

Digital Clock

This is a digital clock I made awhile ago. It uses a pierce oscillator and is pretty accurate but I never bothered to make a PCB for it...stay tuned.
